Th e Denver Broncos started their 2009 season on a torrid pace but flamed-out in the second half, missing the playoffs with an 8-8 regular season record, good for second place in the AFC West. If the Broncos hope to finish the deal and reach the playoffs in 2010, they will have to contend with a schedule that includes a trip across the Atlantic Ocean and a visit by a 2009 Super Bowl team. Denver will play 8 home games and 8 away games in their 16-game NFL regular season. Their home games are all played at [[Invesco Field] in Denver. Based on their second place finish during the 2009 season, the Broncos will play a second place schedule, as well as games against their AFC West opponents, teams in the rugged AFC South, and teams in the NFC West. The Broncos were a maddeningly inconsistent team in the 2009 season that saw them install a new quarterback and a new head coach. The 2010 version could be without star receiver Brandon Marshall but include veteran leader cornerback Champ Bailey.
They will look to rebound from their poor finish by making progress in their own division with home and away series against the Kansas City Chiefs, Oakland Raiders, and San Diego Chargers. They also have additional home dates with the Seattle Seahawks and St. Louis Rams of the NFC West, New York Jets, Houston Texans, and Super Bowl runner-up the Indianapolis Colts. The Broncos complete their road schedule with visits to the AFC South teams the Jacksonville Jaguars, and Tennessee Titans, as well as the Baltimore Ravens, and NFC West teams the Arizona Cardinals, and a game in London against the San Francisco 49ers.
