In 2 009, the Tennessee Titans had high hopes but any chance of reaching the playoffs for a second consecutive season were dashed with a 0-6 start on their way to an 8-8 regular season record.
The Titans are hoping for better results in 2010, based on the 2010 NFL Schedule. Tennessee will play 8 home games and 8 away games in their 16-game NFL regular season. Their home games are all played in Nashville, Tennessee. Based on their third place finish during the 2009 season, the Titans will play a third place schedule, as well as games against their AFC South opponents, teams in the AFC West, and teams in the NFC East. Led by superstar running back Chris Johnson, enigmatic quarterback Vince Young, and a defense that must rebound from an up-and-down 2009 season, the Titans must face the daunting task of competing in the tough AFC South division. As per usual, they will have home and away series against the Indianapolis Colts, Houston Texans, and Jacksonville Jaguars. They also have additional home dates with the Pittsburgh Steelers, Philadelphia Eagles, Washington Redskins, and, from the AFC West, the Oakland Raiders, and Denver Broncos. The Titans complete their road schedule with visits to the AFC West teams the Kansas City Chiefs, and San Diego Chargers, as well as the Miami Dolphins, and NFC East foes the Dallas Cowboys, and New York Giants.
